Award Categories

Conditions of Entry

  1. All entries must be published or broadcast within the eligibility period of June 2, 2007 and January 31, 2010.

  2. Deadline for all entries to be received by Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards administration by Friday February 5, 2010.

  3. Entries shall be deemed to have been entered if they have been submitted to the LCBWFMA administration together with appropriate submission material and accepted with a receipt issued.

  4. Entries are ineligible until the LCBWFMA administration receives and approves payment.

  5. Once an entry has been received and paid for, no withdrawal of entry may be made without the approval of the LCBWFMA administration. Entry fee is non-refundable.

  6. In all matters requiring a determination for the purposes of eligibility for these Awards the sole jurors shall be the LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s).

  7. The decision of the LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s) including any pre-selection or jury panel shall be final.

  8. The LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s) reserves the right to determine the appropriate category for the entry of any material.

  9. Photographers and Food Stylists should be aware that the LCBWFMA administration may reproduce photographs entered for exhibition purposes.

  10. The LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s) shall be entitled to rely entirely on the matters set out in the relevant entry form and shall be under no obligation or duty to enquire further.

  11. Each entrant takes full responsibility for any assertion or representation made by he or she to the LCBFMA administration or its delegate(s) in connection with these Awards whether in the entry form or otherwise. Each such entrant shall be liable to the LCBWFMA for any damage resulting from any inaccurate, misleading or false assertion or representation made by such an entrant.

  12. The LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s) may at its sole discretion make inquiries in relation to matters relating to entries in these Awards of any person, organisation, and company or government agency and shall be entitled to rely on and act on the results of such enquires or disregard them at its absolute discretion.

  13. The delegation of powers and functions and the identity of delegate(s) for the purposes of these Awards shall be matters solely within the discretion of the LCBWFMA administration. The composition of judging and selection panels and their procedures and terms of reference shall be determined by the LCBWFMA administration after consultation with relevant industry bodies.

  14. All material must be supplied in clearly marked padded envelopes/postal boxes.

  15. Whilst the LCBWFMA administration shall take proper care of the material entered, the LCBWFMA shall not be responsible for any loss and/or damage of material whilst they are in the LCBWFMA possession or in the possession of a jury member.

  16. Any discretion which the LCBWFMA is given by these rules shall be exercised by the LCBWFMA administration or its delegate(s).

  17. Local currency must be drawn on a major domestic bank in a currency trading in Australia.

  18. The availability of using the LCBWFMA logo for promotional purposes (for all winners and nominees) – conditions apply.

  19. Jurors reserve the right to withhold the declaring of a winner in any category.

  20. The LCBWFMA administration is unable to return any submission material to entrants.

  21. In all categories entrants are required to submit six copies of their work. The material is used as follows: five copies are used for judging purposes and one copy is retained by the LCBWFMA for administration purposes.

  22. One Gold Ladle only will be awarded in each category.

  23. Nominees will be announced in March 2010.

  24. Gold ladles will be presented at an awards ceremony held in Adelaide, Australia in May 2010.
